You’ve probably noticed by now that when it comes to flowers, poppies are very close to my heart. Even as a young child, I was fascinated by how such a beautiful plant could grow in the harshest places, often completely unnoticed. I couldn’t understand how people didn’t admire them, why they weren’t gathered into bouquets .. Why did they grow at the edge of the village instead of posing in an artist’s bouquet? To me, these little flowers seemed infinitely beautiful and fragile.

If you love these delicate beauties and don’t want them to wither, this is the way. I have immortalized them in the form of a polaroid-style watercolor painting. The wider white border at the bottom is intended to evoke a sense of a memory or an old photograph, so that we may never forget these precious and fragile impressions:)

Asi ste si už všimli, že pokiaľ ide o kvety, tak kvety maku sú mi veľmi blízke. Už ako malé dieťa ma fascinovalo, že tak prekrásna rastlina rastie na najdrsnejších miestach a nikto si ju ani len nevšíma. Nerozumela som, ako je možné, že ju ľudia neobdivujú, netrhanú do kytíc, neobklopujú sa ňou. Prečo rastie na konci dediny pri štrkovom násype a nepózuje v kytici umelca? Prišla mi nekonečne krásna a krehká, táto kvietka:) Ak máte radi tieto krehké krásky a nechcete aby vám zvedli, toto je cesta. Zvečnila som ich v podobe akvarelovej maľby polaroidového formátu, takže je v spodnej časti maľby širší biely pás, ktorý má vyvolať dojem spomienky, starej fotografie, nech na tieto vzácne a krehké vnemy nikdy nezabudneme:)
