Since we moved to Croatia, I have never stopped being fascinated by the sunsets. It’s not that the sun doesn’t set just as beautifully, or even more so, elsewhere. I believe every sunset is unique, carrying an incredible energy. It holds something magical, the quiet slowness of the approaching darkness, which, despite its onset, manages to create the most captivating colorful patterns across the sky.

It’s also about that exact moment when the sun is still visible, but its light has grown soft and warm. It colors everything through a nostalgic prism, softening the edges until even the sharpest line becomes gentle. During a sunset, things and people seem to draw closer together, united by that golden atmosphere, a specific moment, like a little Christmas, occurring every single day:)

Keď sme sa presťahovali do Chorvátska, neprestali ma fascinovať západy slnka. Nie žeby inde nezapadalo slnko rovnako krásne, alebo aj krajšie. Myslím si, že každý západ slnka je výnimočný, má neskutočnú energiu. Nesie v sebe niečo magické, tichú pomalosť blížiadej sa tmy, aj napriek tomu dokáže vytvoriť na oblohe tie najzaujímavešie farebné obrazce. Je to rovnako o okamihu, keď ešte slnko stále na oblohe vidno, ale jeho svetlo je už mäkké a teplé, všetko sfarbí do nostalgickej prizmy, zjemní okraje a aj tá najostrejšia hrana je zrazu jemná. Pri západ eslnka sú si veci a ľudia akoby bližšie, spája ich tá zlatistá atmosféra, konkrétna chvíľa, ako malé Vianoce, každý deň:)
