Everyone knows that feeling, even without looking at the weather forecast, you step outside in the morning and suddenly feel autumn in the air. You take a breath, and it’s just everywhere, nothing around you has changed dramatically, but you simply know summer is gone. In Dalmatia, it happens much later. Summer lasts longer, there’s more sunshine year-round, and you only really feel autumn in the air around the holiday season. My biological clock, however, was shaped by inland seasons, so with the start of the school year, I find myself longing for rustling leaves and cozy thick socks. Personally, I love autumn. I love its colors, the soft light, the click of heels on pavement, glowing candles, and „stocking up“ for winter. That’s how „November Mist“ was born, as a call for an autumn that was taking its time. It always comes, and it’s finally here now. I just missed it:)

The original painting is gouache on 100% cotton Meeden watercolor paper, painted using Reeves and Talens paints. The fine art print is produced on 350 gsm Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper, a naturally white paper with a rich texture, free of chemical optical brighteners, guaranteeing long-lasting color permanence.

Každý pozná ten moment, keď na vlastnej koži aj bez predopovede počasia ráno zacíti, že už je jeseň. Nadýchneš sa a zrazu je to cítiť úplne všade, nič naokolo sa až tak dramaticky nezmenilo, ale ty už vieš, že leto je preč. Tu v Dalmácii sa to prejavuje neskôr, leto je dlhšie, slnka je viac počas celého roka a až v predvianočnom období je aj tu cítiť vo vzduchu jeseň. Moje biologické hodiny sú však vekom ohnuté podľa vnútrozemského času a tak s príchodom školy aj ja očakávam šušťanie listov a hrubé ponožky. Ja osobne milujem jeseň. Milujem jej farby, mäkké svetlo, klopot podpätkov, horenie sviečok, „naskladňovanie“ zásob. A tak vzniklo dielo s názvom „November mist“ ako volanie po jeseni, ktorá nechodí. Ona príde, už aj prišla. Len mi chýbala:)

Originálna maľba je gvaš na Meeden watercolor papieri zo 100% bavlny. Je maľovaná farbami značky Reeves a Talens. Print je vytlačený na fine art papieri značky Hahnemühle, Museum Etching, papier má gramáž 350g/m2, ide o papier prirodzene biely s výraznou štruktúrou, bez chemických ustaľovačov, ktorý zaručuje dlhoročnú farebnostálosť.
